Polysquish Terms & Conditions

Everything you need to know about caring for, using and enjoying your Polysquish, the squishy little world of colour and curiosity that fits in your hand.

Last updated: June 2026

These Terms cover the safe use, care and warranty of your Polysquish. They're written to keep things clear and simple, but if anything's unclear, our team is always happy to help at hello@cmycubes.com.

In these Terms, "Polysquish" refers to the PolySquishy: Discovery Series product, available at cmycubes.com/products/polysquish. "We", "us" and "our" refer to CMY Cubes. "User" or "you" refers to any person using or handling the product.

Polysquish has a soft thermoplastic rubber (TPR) outer skin and a maltose-based gel filling held under light internal pressure, which is why some of the care and safety notes below matter. By purchasing, using or handling Polysquish, you acknowledge that you have read and accept these Terms.

1 Product Purpose & Intended Use

Polysquish is designed for sensory play, stress relief and tactile engagement. It is a novelty sensory product and is not intended to diagnose, treat or manage any medical condition, or to replace therapeutic tools. Individual experiences may vary.

2 Age Guidelines & Supervision

Recommended for ages 3 and over. This product is not suitable for children under 3 years and may present a choking hazard if damaged or misused. Adult supervision is advised for young children at all times. Polysquish is not designed to be bitten or mouthed and should not be placed in the mouth.

Warning: Choking hazard. Not suitable for children under 3 years. Contains a small part and a gel filling. Keep damaged product away from young children.

3 Materials, Safety & Testing

Polysquish is made from a soft thermoplastic rubber (TPR) outer skin with a maltose-based gel filling. It is non-toxic, latex-free and made using safety-tested materials suitable for general use. Avoid contact with the eyes and mouth, and do not ingest the filling. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Polysquish has been independently tested by an accredited laboratory and meets recognised toy safety standards, including:

AS/NZS ISO 8124.1:2023 (Australia & NZ) EN 71 Parts 1–3 (Europe) ASTM F963-23 (USA)

It has been tested for phthalate content and heavy metals and found to comply with applicable toy safety limits, and has been assigned a tested age grade of 3 years and over.

"Non-toxic" does not mean edible or risk-free. Please use Polysquish as a sensory object only.

Not a pet toy. Keep Polysquish away from pets and animals. It is not designed to be chewed and may cause choking, blockage or illness if swallowed by an animal.

4 Allergies & Sensitivities

While Polysquish is non-toxic and latex-free, some individuals may experience sensitivity to the materials. If you have known allergies or sensitive skin, take care when first handling the product. If any irritation, redness or discomfort occurs, discontinue use immediately, wash the affected area with water, and seek medical advice if symptoms persist.

5 Intended Handling

Polysquish is designed to be squeezed and manipulated at room temperature. It should be used as a sensory object only.

6 Misuse Warnings

  • Do not heat, microwave or expose to high temperatures.
  • Do not freeze or refrigerate.
  • Do not cut, puncture or apply excessive force.
  • Do not leave in hot environments such as cars or direct sunlight.

Misuse may result in product rupture, leakage, or potential irritation or injury.

7 Temperature & Environmental Sensitivity

Polysquish is sensitive to temperature. Heat may cause softening, expansion or increased internal pressure. Cold conditions may cause firmness or texture changes. Exposure to extreme temperatures increases the risk of damage.

8 Cleaning & Care

Clean using mild soap and water only. Allow to air dry completely before reuse. Do not use harsh chemicals or submerge for extended periods.

9 Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not leave under pressure or compressed for extended periods, as this may affect shape, texture and longevity.

10 First Aid

The filling is non-toxic, but Polysquish is not food and is not designed to be consumed. If an incident occurs:

  • If swallowed: do not induce vomiting. Seek medical advice promptly, and watch for any signs of choking. In Australia, you can contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26.
  • If filling contacts the eyes: rinse gently with clean water for several minutes. Seek medical advice if irritation persists.
  • If skin irritation occurs: discontinue use and wash the affected area with mild soap and water. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist.

If in doubt, always seek professional medical advice. In an emergency, call 000 (Australia).

11 Shipping & Delivery

Any damage occurring during shipping must be reported within 7 days of delivery, along with photos of the item and packaging, so we can make it right.

12 Surface Contact & Staining

Polysquish may transfer colour or leave residue on porous or delicate surfaces, including fabrics, wood and painted finishes. Avoid prolonged contact with these materials. CMY Cubes is not responsible for surface damage or staining.

13 Breakage, Wear & Warranty

Polysquish is a soft, flexible product designed for repeated squeezing and tactile use, but it is not indestructible. Over time, the product may show:

  • Changes in texture, including softening or firming
  • Air bubbles forming
  • Minor surface wear or cosmetic changes

This is normal and is not considered a defect.

Polysquish is held under light internal pressure. With regular use or force, this may lead to:

  • Small pinholes or punctures leading to air bubbles
  • Gradual leakage, including around the seal or plug
  • Changes in shape or consistency

These outcomes are considered part of the product's natural lifespan.

Our 30-day limited warranty

We offer a 30-day limited warranty from the date of purchase for verified manufacturing defects. A manufacturing defect may include:

  • Seal or plug failure within a short period of normal use
  • Immediate leakage upon first use

This warranty applies only to products purchased directly from CMY Cubes or from an authorised retailer. Products bought through unauthorised resellers are not covered.

Seconds and factory seconds: This warranty does not apply to seconds or factory second squishies. These items are sold as-is and are final sale, with no warranty, returns or exchanges (except where the Australian Consumer Law requires otherwise).

What isn't covered

General wear and tear is not considered a defect. This includes:

  • Texture changes over time
  • Air bubbles forming
  • Surface scuffs
  • Small holes caused by pressure, sharp objects, nails or biting
  • Plug or seal damage occurring after repeated use, excessive force, or outside the 30-day warranty period

This warranty also does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse (including heating, freezing, puncturing or excessive force)
  • Products that have been cut, bitten or altered
  • Normal wear and tear from regular use as outlined above

If your product breaks or leaks

Discontinue use immediately, dispose of the filling safely, and clean affected surfaces with soap and water.

If you believe your product has a manufacturing fault, please contact the retailer or our support team at hello@cmycubes.com with valid proof of purchase and images of the issue. Warranty claims must include valid proof of purchase.

14 Hygiene

For hygiene reasons, Polysquish is intended for individual use.

15 Modification

Polysquish should not be modified, altered or tampered with. Any modification voids warranty eligibility.

16 Limitation of Liability

By using this product, you acknowledge that it is used at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CMY Cubes is not liable for damage resulting from misuse, improper handling or failure to follow these guidelines, including any indirect or incidental damages. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the product is limited to the purchase price you paid for it. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see section 18).

17 Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for any loss, damage or injury arising from your misuse of the product, your failure to follow these Terms and the safety guidance on this page, or use of the product by a child without appropriate adult supervision.

18 Your Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or guarantees you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Where those guarantees apply, our liability is governed by that law and nothing on this page limits the consumer guarantees it provides.

19 Product Variations

Due to the nature of the product, colours, textures and feel may vary. Minor imperfections are part of the character of a handmade-style sensory object and are not considered defects.

20 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state and the Commonwealth of Australia.

21 Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that part will be removed or read down to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining Terms will continue in full force.

22 Updates to These Terms

CMY Cubes may update these Terms from time to time to reflect product improvements, safety updates or regulatory requirements. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always show the current version.
